Fakes are everywhere aren't they? I mean you can't go to a flea market, a roadside stand, a mom and pop store, and in many cases the Internet without running into fake or knockoff Coach Purses. Not just Coach, but all of the famous designer labels. I want to give you five areas you can focus on to help you avoid being duped, taken, or conned into buying a fake handbag. Now realize, these are only guidelines. The counterfeiters are getting better and better at what they do but you can protect yourself by observing some key areas.
Lesson 1
Stitching
Bad stitching on any "designer" handbag is a dead give away to not only an inferior product but to a much higher likelihood that you have encountered a counterfeit or a fake. Examine the stitching closely. Is it consistent throughout the bag? Is the underside or inside stitching much poorer than the rest? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, then steer clear of that item. Designer bags, like Coach, are more expensive because they are more complex in their structure. Examples of this might be double and triple stitching and multiple layers of fabric.
